Welcome to Amelia Island Family Medicine, the office of Diana R. Twiggs, MD, FAAFP.  Amelia Island Family Medicine is a private family medicine office in Fernandina Beach, Florida offering medical care to your entire family.  We provide health maintenance examinations, disease management, and other medical services. We are currently accepting new patients from infants to adults.

If you are a new patient, welcome to our web site.  Please call the office or use the appointment request feature to make an appointment to establish medical care with your family physician.  We look forward to meeting you and partnering with you in your health care needs.  Look for a new patient registration form to be available online in the very near future!

If you are an established patient at Amelia Island Family Medicine, you may use the "Ask a doctor" feature to e-mail your doctor directly.  Also, you may wish to use the "Virtual Office Visit" feature to have an on-line office visit with your physician.  The virtual office visit is most appropriate for routine follow-up of an established and controlled medical problem for which you have been seen in the office in the past year.  It is important that you have a face-to-face encounter with Dr. Twiggs or Mr. Forbes for any given complaint, in compliance with Florida law. You may choose from a list of common complaints regarding your visit.  If you do not find your complaint listed, it is probably not appropriate for an on-line encounter.  (Please note that the Ask a Doctor and Virtual Office Visits are available only to established patients, who have been seen in the office within the past 12 months.)  You may request appointments using the "appointment request" feature, if you desire.
