Dr. Diana Twiggs established Amelia Island Family Medicine in 2005, after five years of private practice with Dr. Donald Twiggs, founder of Amelia Island Family Practice. It is our hope that the same compassionate quality care that our patients have enjoyed for 25 years from Amelia Island Family Practice will continue to thrive with Amelia Island Family Medicine.

Dr. Diana Twiggs joined Amelia Island Family Practice in August 2000, following the completion of her family practice residency at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach.  She is a graduate of Florida State University and of the University of Florida College of Medicine.  She is board certified in family medicine and is active in the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, the Florida Medical Association, and the Nassau County Medical Society.  Dr. Twiggs also serves annually as a tournament physician for the Women's Tennis Association Bausch and Lomb Tennis Tournament held at the Amelia Island Plantation in April.

She and husband, Chris, have three children who attend local public schools. Dr. Twiggs is an avid marathon runner and an accomplished violinist and vocalist.
